The ranch began over 100 years ago. It has been through many transitions over the years. It began as a working alfalfa farm. The barn is now a remodeled to be a recreation space with a full kitchen. The ranch has hosted many weddings, retreats, campouts, services, and banquets through the years.

A short drive east from Lucerne Valley, California exists what is believed to be one of the oldest living plants on earth.
The last Indian fight in Southern California took place here, in January of 1867. Indians left their camp east of Chimney Rock to go into the San Bernardino Mountains where they looted and burned several cabins and a sawmill. In retaliation a posse surprised the Indians at their camp, killing and wounding many, thus ending hostilities.
This prehistoric slide is one of the largest known in North America and can be found on the north slope of the San Bernardino Mountains, California (it is located at 34.393, -116.773 in the Lucerne Valley).
The former PBR #6 occupies one square mile on the dry bed of Lake Lucerne, about 20 miles east of Victorville and about 4 miles north of Lucerne Valley. Although close to a paved road, State Route 247, the only access is via dirt trails and a four-wheel drive is recommended.
North of Lucerne Valley, somewhat hidden in the middle of nowhere, is a uniquely shaped 70 foot free-standing formation of granite that rock climbers love to conquer.
