What is the Honorary Mayor Contest?

Each year the Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce has an Honorary Mayor contest. The purpose of this contest is to have someone who can represent our town, like an ambassador. It also gives us the opportunity to raise money for the Chamber of Commerce, which enables the Chamber of Commerce to host the various activities for the town of Lucerne Valley throughout the year.

The Honorary Mayor contest allows each candidate to host different fund-raising events. The candidate that raises the most money will become Honorary Mayor for a year at the end of the race, in June. This is NOT a judicial position.

We would like to ask if you could help support our endeavors by making a donation. The Chamber of Commerce can provide you with a receipt for your donation, or you can simply reference their corporation number, which is 501(c)(6) C0320973 - they are a non-profit organization.

If you have any questions, you can call the Chamber of Commerce at (760) 223-7164.

A lifelong learner, resident and homesteader of Lucerne Valley for the last seven (7) years. She is an active mother and grandmother who is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce. She is an accomplished teacher, tax preparer, notary public, and has worked with the YMCA as a youth leader. After seeing a need in our small town, she became a Lyft Driver to help locals about ten (10) months ago.

Irene is usually behind the scenes but is looking forward to being more in the public eye and is excited to raise money for the Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce. She helped recently with events such as the Haunted Ghost Town and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. She is also looking to work with the Senior Center to teach classes that will benefit them. When she first came to our small town, she fell in love with it and knew that her family would soon follow. She has wanted to be a bigger part of the community since she arrived and becoming Honorary Mayor, she feels like she can do good work and become a part of Lucerne Valley's History.

A 45-year-old California native, residing in the wonderful town of Lucerne Valley. I have been married for 20 Beautiful years to my wife, Athena, and have three children together. My career background has been in service and sales in the heavy duty trucking industry.

A little over a year ago, we formed El Dorado Property Solutions, a local property maintenance company that performs tractor work and specializes in the fine details.

As a small business owner, it has really made an impact on how important it is to support and promote local business. My Campaign slogan is as of that, "Supporting Local Dreams".

It is important to me to focus on building our local dreams in our community and supporting local businesses. I give you a commitment that during my honorary mayor position, I would do all that I can to promote local business and put awareness out as to how important it is to work with each other to build each other's dreams up in our community.

My goal is to showcase and pull resources together to help bring business into our town equally amongst all businesses and to form an alliance to buy and support local.

I look forward to meeting more of the community!
