The Chamber of Commerce is an organization of businesses and professional people in our area working together to encourage and expand economic development, to improve our community and to develop and enhance civic responsibility and pride. The Chamber is a voluntary, non-profit organization specifically directed toward uniting the efforts of the businesses and professional individuals to continually improve the economic and socio-economic base to benefit the entire community. The Chamber of Commerce attempts to direct the tremendous potential of private enterprise, enabling the membership to accomplish what no one could do individually. The Chamber continually promotes the products, services and lifestyle of our community, at the same time, remaining alert to anything that might adversely affect the economy of the community. All Chamber members, through committee involvement, can contribute to the organizational effort that will be mutually beneficial to the local businesses and the community at large.
The Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce is a business and incurs costs of operation and expenses similar to any other type of business. These expenses are primarily offset by the membership through their annual dues. In addition, the Chamber sponsors various special events and publications during the year. Community Support of these functions enables the Chamber to minimize dues increases. Chamber membership is an investment in the present and future welfare of your business and community. Chamber membership dues are recognized as a legitimate business expense and are deductible for tax purposes.
The Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce is run by a Board of Directors elected by and from the Chamber membership. The Board serves without compensation and carries out the policies of the Chamber guided by the By-Laws.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you.
